Alex Coppola received his B.S. degree in Industrial Design in 2013 and his M.Sc. degree in Product Design in 2016 from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He was also an exchange researcher at Chiba University, Japan, in 2016 and 2018.He received his Ph.D. in Design from Sapienza University of Rome in 2020, with a thesis entitled "Digital Craft Factory: assisted creation computational design process for post-industrial craftsmanship". He was a Research Fellow at ENEA from 2021 to 2024, working on CAD / CAM technologies for SMEs applied to additive manufacturing of high-end products and developing an interactive cloud platform for computational design. His research interests include digital manufacturing technologies, computational design, and how to integrate design methodologies into complex research areas to create meaningful social impact.
